Mission Statement:
The purpose of the NAC Wrestling Booster Club is to:
1. Provide support and assistance to the wrestling program.
2. Provide staff to score, time and run tournaments throughout the year.
3. To offer scholarships for longstanding, active members who pursue a college education after graduation.
4. To develop in students, through hands-on experiences, basic skills, problem solving, decision-making and interaction among peers, basic communication skills.
Eligibility:
The Wrestling Booster Club is open to all students in grades7-12. There is no grade point average requirement for club members. Elected officers and the advisor have the right to deny entry to those who do not represent the Northern Adirondack school district in a positive way or who have violated the Code of Conduct.
By-Laws:
1. Members must attend meetings.
2. Members will pay $5.00 in dues, which is to be used toward their booster club shirt.
3. Members will elect officers. The offices are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Mat Maid.
4. All members will learn to keep score and time so they may be assigned as a scorekeeper or timer for at least one home match or away.
5. Members will be required to attend and work a designated spot at the varsity tournament held in January. They will also be asked to help organize and work on activities leading up to the tournament.
6. Members will work a designated spot at the Mat Cat tournament held in March.
7. Members will enjoy a chaperoned day trip, which is provided at the end of the school year.
8. Members must work together in a cooperative manner.
9. Any additions or deletions to the by-laws will be put to an open vote to all club members, then officially recorded.
