Grading Policy
Each marking period, I will assign each student a number grade in the range of 0 - 100. This grade will be based on the number of points that the student earns on quizzes, homework, tests, projects, and their notebook. I will add the total points earned by the student and divide by the total number of possible points that they could have earned. Each test, project, and notebook is worth 100 points. Possible points on quizzes varies due to the length and difficulty. Each homework assignment is worth 4 points. A student will receive 4 points for handing an assignment in on time and with acceptable work shown. If an assignment is handed in on time but is not finished, then the student will receive 1 point. And turning in no assignment or showing no work is a grade of 0. The student can earn 2 points back for completing the assignment properly before the end of the marking period. If a student is absent for a quiz or test, then they must make an appointment with me to make it up.
