Course Description
This course presents the basic concepts involved in the study of science in the living world. Various methods will be used throughout the year to allow for experience in the design and implementation of experiments using the scientific method.
Course Objective
Students will develop a working understanding of various terminologies, concepts, and laws in order to apply them as they relate to the physical world.
Grading:
- Quizes will generally be givin on Friday and will cover terms and concepts covered during the week.
- Exams will be worth 100 points and will occur at the end of specific units. The dayes and concepts covered on each exam will be announced in advance.
- Labs will be worth 100 points. During some labs you will be assigned lab groups to work in. Laboratory due dayes will be announced at the begining of each lab, and all work is expected to be neat and organized.
- Class Participation: 50 points per quarter will be awarded for active participation appropriate behaviors and preparedness in class.
