The library’s collection and its staff serves to provide support to the school curriculum and teachers, as well as to  foster a love of reading and learning for students. 

What is information literacy, and what it means for students…

Information Literacy is the ability to access, analyze, understand, and use information to serve a purpose.  The many types of information: physical, electronic, media, and the like enable students to explore their world.  Being able to share ideas and communicate clearly are increasingly important 21st century standards.

The  American Association of School Librarians (AASL) advocates:

Preparing students for life-long learning, informed decision-making, a love of reading, and the use of information technologies.

Library Hours:

8:00-12:00 & 1:00-2:30 Monday through Friday

Our Goal:

Support 21st Century learners through encouraging each and every student to use our electronic and print resources by:

*Collaboration between teachers and library media specialist that support classroom learning

*Cultivating curiosity and discovery in the world around them and afar

*The creation of new ideas and products

*Thinking independently and asking questions

*Developing a lifelong love of reading and literature

*Incorporating new technologies to create an active learning environment, providing students with 21st century learning skills
