## Classroom Rules & Procedures

- Be on time and in your seats when second bell rings.
- Be prepared for class (textbook, notebook, pen/pencil, calculator, and assignment – math is not a spectator sport)
- Be respectful

## Integrated Algebra Year 1 – Grade 9

Students will study Integrated Algebra. We will cover all chapters in the book. Students will take their Integrated Algebra regents in June. Upon successful completion of the class and the regents, students will move onto geometry.

### Grading Criteria

- 10% of grade is collected homework (Late Policy: 10 points off each day late until a max of 30 point reduction is reached)
- 30% of grade are quizzes (a notebook will be collected every 10 weeks to boost this grade)
- 60% of grade is tests (homework points are added in every 5 weeks to boost this grade - homework points are taken at the beginning of class on non – collected assignments, they are not allowed to be late or made – up, unless absent)
- There are no re-takes or re-makes.
- Bell ringers are given every day and are collected on Friday – they count as graded homework

## Integrated Algebra Year 2 – Grade 10 +

Students will continue to study algebra. The first ten weeks will be a review of the first year of algebra. We will finish all of the chapters not completed in the first year. The students will have a regents in Intgrated Algebra in June.

Students will complete 1/2 of the course of Integrated Algebra. Upon successful completetion they will move onto Year 2 of Integrated Algebra. At the end of Year 2, they will take their Regent exam.
