Number of Seats Available: Two

To elected (2) members to the Board for 5 year terms (7/1/2023-6/30/2028) to fill the expired terms of Sean LaBarre and Bryan Trombley.

Number of Signatures Required

Nominating Petitions: Nominating petitions must be signed by at least 25 qualified district voters or 2 percent of the number of voters who voted in the previous annual election of the members of the Board of Education, whichever is greater.

Previous Election - May 16, 2023- 410 Voters

Therefore at least 25 signatures are required for Nominating Petition, which must be filed with the District Clerk by 5:00pm on April 22, 2024.

Eligibility to run for Member of the Board of Education

  • Must be able to read and write

  • Must be a qualified voter of the district; that is, a citizen of the United States; at least 18 years of age or older, and not adjudged to be an incompetents'.

  • Must be and have been a resident of the district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year.

  • May not have been removed from any school district office within the preceding year.

  • May not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family.

  • May not be a current employee of the school board.

  • May not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office.

Number of Nominating Petitions You May Sign

There is no limit on the number of nominating petitions a district resident may sign.

Military Ballot

Military ballots may be applied for by qualified voters by requesting an application from the District Clerk at 518-594-7060 ext. 2501 or brlabombard@nacs1.org. Completed applications for military ballots must be received by the Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2024.  In a request for a military ballot application or ballot, the military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the application or ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail.


Absentee Ballot and Early Voting Ballot

Qualified voters of the District may obtain applications for an absentee ballot or an early voting ballot from the office of the Clerk of the District. Completed applications must be received by the Clerk of the District no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 20, 2024 and must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 14, 2024 if the absentee ballot or an early voting ballot is to be mailed to the voter.  Completed applications received after 4:00 p.m. on May 14, 2024 will require the voter to personally appear at the office of the Clerk of the District to receive an absentee ballot or an early voting ballot.  A listing of all persons to whom an absentee ballot or an early voting ballot is issued will be available for inspection by any qualified voter in the office of the Clerk of the District between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during each of the 5 business days prior to the election.
