Our district has approximately 795 students -- 370 in grades K-5, 201 6-8, and 224 9-12.  We are a rural community of 8200 persons and cover 378 square miles, encompassing portions of Bellmont, Ellenburg, Altona, Beekmantown, Mooers, Churubusco, West Chazy, Lyon Mountain, Standish, Merill, Dannemora, Chazy and Saranac. The district is the 4th largest geographic district in the state. Farming, the school, family-owned businesses, and a correctional facility are the main employers within our district.

We foster a family-oriented climate where the school is the hub of activity for our community.
