Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, the Northern Adirondack Central School District consists of a two-building campus, located in Ellenburg, New York, approximately 25 miles northwest of Plattsburgh, 25 miles east of Malone, and 25 miles west of Lake Champlain.
Our district has approximately 795 students -- 370 in grades K-5, 201 6-8, and 224 9-12. We are a rural community of 8200 persons and cover 378 square miles, encompassing portions of the Towns of Bellmont, Ellenburg, Altona, Beekmantown, Mooers, Churubusco, West Chazy, Lyon Mountain, Standish, Merill, Dannemora, Chazy and Saranac. The district is the 4th largest geographic district in the state. Farming, the school, family-owned businesses, and a correctional facility are the main employers within our district.
