Attention seniors and families! Time is running out to submit photos for the senior slideshow and we are still in desperate need of photos. You have one week until the deadline for submitting photos for the senior slideshow. These photos can be from any time in your child's life from elementary, middle school, and high school, as well as this year's Prom. Please do not delay and turn your photos in on Rooms (12th Grade 2023-2024), or email Mr. Nichols and Mrs. Perkins by next Friday, May 31, 2024.

Congratulations to our Elementary Principal Lisa Silver, who received the 2024 Beatrice E. Griggs Elementary Administrator Award at the annual New York State Library Association Section of School Librarians (NYLA/SSL) awards banquet on Friday, May 17! Ms. Silver was honored with this award due to her unwavering support of the NAC Elementary School Library, which has allowed it to become a strong resource for our students and staff. Under her leadership, the library has fulfilled roles teaching information literacy and digital fluency and expanded access to digital products such as databases and educational software. Because library staffing levels have been maintained through the strong advocacy of Ms. Silver and others, the shared resources of the library are well-managed, modern, and accessible. The presenters indicated that there was strong competition this year among the nominees, but Ms. Silver was the clear winner. The award banquet was attended by hundreds of Librarians from throughout New York State, and NAC was showcased as the positive example of library support that we know it to be.

Shoutout to our incredible new flag football team! Your positive energy and attitude on the field are truly inspiring and are making waves among opposing teams. The athletic director from Keene commented, " I would like to tell you that your girls are an amazing bunch. They are well disciplined and execute plays beautifully. I never would have known this was their first year playing. Well done to coach Bowes and to the girls for playing a really great game. I would also like to let you know that your fans are fantastic. They were positive the entire time and that is not something we see often enough these days." Keep shining bright and showing the power of sportsmanship! Let's keep the momentum going!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Easter Egg Hunt. We appreciate your flexibility when the event was moved inside. The eggs were found in record breaking times! Thank you, too, to everyone who supported Builders Club and Key Club's Bottle Drive. We love being able to provide events like this for our community!

NAC National Honor Society, Builders Club and Key Club recently held a popcorn fundraiser. NHS will donate all profits to two local organizations: Animal Rescue & Welfare Services and Elmore SPCA which will each receive $330. Builders Club and Key Club also will donate a portion of their profits and combined will donate $219 to each. We would like to thank the community for the continued support for our students. Go Bobcats!

It's Builders Club Week! We are collecting items to make care packages for the FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh. Please drop items off in the bin in the main lobby of the MS/HS by March 27th.

DeAnn Gregory, advisor to our NAC Key Club and co-advisor of Builder's Club, was recently honored at the annual state Key Club Leadership and Training Conference with the Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award for the New York District Key Club, beating out major areas like Long Island and Albany! We know she works hard to help our students with their community service goals, but it's nice to have a state-wide awards committee say so too. First presented in 1962, this award was established to recognize an adult who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in serving the youth of the New York District, and is presented to a faculty advisor who has rendered the most outstanding contribution to a Key Club this year. Key Club International, a service leadership program of Kiwanis International, is the oldest and largest service organization for high school students and gives its members opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership skills. Congratulations, DeAnn!

Good afternoon Bobcat sports families: JV Boys Baseball practice will begin on Monday March 18th at 4:30 pm with coach Kris Chase. Modified Girls Softball practice will begin on Tuesday March 19th at 4:30 pm with coach Stacy Siskavich. Students should report to athletic studyhall right after school.
