Attention 8th grade parents and guardians: We are collecting photos for a special project that celebrates our students' journeys through grades 6-8. Please submit pictures of your child, whether alone or with classmates (family photos will not be accepted). Kindly email them to Shantell Manor (smanor@nacs1.org) by Friday, May 16. Thank you for your participation and support in showcasing our students’ achievements!

Attention Parents that drive their children to School: Please do not drive through the bus loop until after 8:45 AM . Additionally , If you drive by a school bus with its red lights on whether it be in the parking lot or the bus loop, you will be ticketed. State police have been in our parking lot and have ticketed people 2 out of the 3 days they have been there. Please expect the continued presence of the State Police in our parking lot , as the safety of our students is our number one priority. The bus loop is off limits to traffic during the hours of 7:15am to 8:45am and 2:15pm to 2:45 pm as posted on the sign before you turn left to enter the bus loop.

Attention Middle School Parents! We will conduct ELA state testing on Wednesday, April 9th, and Thursday, April 10th. It's important for our students to get a good night's sleep before the exams! 💤
Remember, these tests won't affect your child's average.
Please note that the deadline for refusals has passed, and no letters will be accepted. Absences will need to be made up, as the State mandates a full month absence window for these exams.
Since they are computer-based this year, all students in grades 6-8 will need to bring their Chromebooks AND chargers to school tomorrow to ensure they're fully charged for testing! ⚡️Thank you for your support!

Attention Girls Soccer players who are currently in Grades 8-11:
There will be a Girls Summer Soccer League held at Plattsburgh State this summer. If you are interested in playing, please contact Coach Phillips or Coach Seguin for more information!
Attention Middle School parents:
We will be conducting our ELA state testing on Wednesday April 9th and Thursday April 10th this year. It is always helpful if your child can get a good night's sleep before these exams. Please remember these exams are not timed, nor do they count for or against your child's average. These exams are merely a tool to assess where our students, as a whole, compared to their cohort across the state.
This year the exams will be computer based. If you are refusing to have your child take this exam, a refusal letter, signed by the parent, must be brought to the Middle School main office no later than 10am on Friday April, 4th.
Due to the work to properly prepare for these exams, refusal letters after this date or those sent by email or phoned in, will not be honored. Absences do not constitute a refusal and will need to be made up as the State has now mandated a full month absence window for these exams.
Please remember, a refusal letter for ELA does not cover Math or Science. A separate letter will be needed for each exam. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Good morning NAC families! As you may be aware, the New York State Education Department included a requirement for Schools to inform families as to when safety/emergency drills such as Fire, Evacuation, Lockdown, Lockout, or other safety/emergency drills will take place. NYSED does not require schools to give specifics including precise dates and times, but does require schools to notify families about drills that may occur during an upcoming school week. This requirement is to help reduce the potential stress and trauma that the required drills create for some of our students and their families. As we move forward with this new practice, you will occasionally receive information that safety/emergency drills will be conducted during an upcoming week. With that said, Northern Adirondack CSD will be conducting safety/emergency drills during the school week of March 31, 2025 to April 4, 2025 Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Attention Parents of Juniors and Seniors:
As Prom approaches on May 17th, please be advised that students on the 2 or more failure list will NOT be eligible to attend. This policy extends to any underclassman guests as well. Please keep this in mind as you are looking to purchase your non-refundable prom tickets and attire. The eligibility list will be published shortly before the event, so it’s crucial to monitor academic progress. This list is for the 4th quarter progress report (35 week progress report). Thank you for your attention to this important matter as we prepare for a memorable evening.

Attention seniors, family and friends of the Class of 2025,
It’s hard to believe that March is rapidly coming to an end and that graduation is right around the corner. With that said, the senior slide show is in the beginning stages of being created, which means that your help is needed. To create a slide show that will be memorable, your help is needed in providing pictures of your child that can include elementary, middle school, and high school. The time frame is not limited to these periods in time, so if you have other pictures, please submit what you wish. Please submit your pictures by Friday, May 30th by emailing Mr. Nichols.
