Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2022 competition.

  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.

  • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.

  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

  • Male and female students compete separately.

The 2021 MVS application deadline is November 15, 2021

Hagan Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help rural students graduate college debt-free. The Scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years.

Recipients must maintain a four-year graduation schedule, achieve a 3.0 GPA each semester, maintain a 3.25 CGPA, earn 30 credit hours each academic year, and work 240 hours in the 12 months prior to fall semester enrollment at college.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation scholarship
The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides four-year scholarships of $30,000 and extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, to highly motivated African American students who have maintained a 98% college graduation rate.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program

Scholarship Amount: $40,000 Plus a Paid Summer Internship Programing at Amazon

Scholarship is available to any High School Senior who has completed or is currently enrolled in a Computer Science Course. They must also be planning on majoring in a Computer Science related field, as well as have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate Financial Need.

February Deadlines

RSA New York Youth Institute Scholarship

The RSA is offering a $300 scholarship opportunity for rural students to participate in the New York Youth Institute. The scholarship will be awarded for logistical assistance and preparation for attending the in person event on March 25th.

    Please note: this scholarship opportunity is separate and external from the New York Youth Institute. Any student that submits a paper and registers for the NYYI is invited to attend the event on March 25 regardless of the outcome of the RSA NYYI Scholarship Program.

$12,000 (Major) Environmental Career Scholarship Application
The eligibility criteria for the $12,000 scholarship (paid out over four years) is as follows:

The eligibility criteria for the $5,000 scholarship (paid out in one lump sum) is as follows:

Farm Bureau 2022 Agricultural Youth Scholarships
Eligibility: Students must be a graduating senior who will continue their education to prepare for a career in some way connected to the diverse agricultural industry. Students must live or work on a form or be involved with agriculture via any avenue. Family Farm Bureau membership is required & may accompany application.

Amount: a $1500, $1200 and $1000 scholarship will be awarded.

Deadline: Completed Applications must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2022 and must be returned to the New York Farm Bureau in Albany.

Gerard J. Bucknmeyer FASNY Volunteer Scholarship Program: 25 $1500 scholarships
For students who are a member or child of a member of the FASNY

Must be a graduating senior who will be attending an accredited two or four year institution of higher learning or an accredited technical post-secondary school.

Student must be a current Junior firefighter, Explorer Scout or RAM in a group affiliated with a volunteer fire department.

Interested candidates should submit a resume, two letters of recommendation, a certificate of acceptance from an institution of higher learning, a one page essay on "How Community Involvement in the Fire Service Has Affected My Life" and a complete description of extracurricular activities.

SAANYS 2120 Retiree Student Scholarship
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to any graduating senior. Student must be sponsored by a current active SAANYS active or associate retiree member in good standing. Students must have demonstrated good school and community citizenship, and plan to go on to higher education, and otherwise satisfy criteria of the SAANYS Retiree Scholarship Committee.

Amount: The award will be at least $100.

Due Date: Post Marked No Later Than April 1, 2022

The Agricultural & Industrial Fair of Clinton County Inc. Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be a graduating senior who has been accepted into an accredited college program. Application is open to applicants regardless of your field of study. However, additional consideration may be given to those applicants pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture, fair management or the outdoor amusement business.

Amount: Ten $1000 scholarships

Deadline: Application must be submitted to the member fair or NYSAA  no later than April 8, 2022.

CVPH Foundation Scholarship
One $1000 scholarship available to any graduating senior at Northern Adirondack who will be entering a health care field of study such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pharmacy, radiology school, etc. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or at

Chazy Lions Club Scholarship:
Amount: $250

Eligibility:  Available to all Northern Adirondack students who are planning on continuing their education. Scholarship award will be based on High School grades, family needs and a essay. Application must include a completed application, essay and a transcript as well as two references one from a teacher and one from an acquaintance.

James Dean Wilson Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $500

Eligibility: Available to any Northern Adirondack Student who will be attending Clinton Community College in the Fall 2022 Semester. Recipient Must also attend the Stride for James event on May 14, 2022 where they will be presented their award. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

All Applications must be turned in to the Guidance Office no later then April 22nd.

The Gaylord G. and Veronica M. Rowe Scholarship Fund

Amount: $1,000

The criteria for the scholarship is a graduating senior who is interested in pursuing a career in automotive, engineering, computer science or nursing. Eligible students should submit a brief personal biography that details how they meet this criteria and their future plans. The deadline for the scholarship will be April 29, 2022.

Clinton County Board of Realtors Scholarship
Amount: one $1000 scholarship

Eligibility: Any graduating senior in Clinton County who plans to further their education at a post-secondary for the 2022-2023 academic year.

American Society Of Civil Engineers Scholarship

Available to any Graduating Senior who is pursing a degree in the field of Civil Engineering. This is a 4 year $1,000 per year scholarship.

Award: Up to Four $500 scholarships

Eligibility: Students must be attending a high school in Clinton, Franklin, or Essex Counties. Applicant must be a graduating Senior in the year 2022. Applicants must be attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university in 2022-23. Applicants must be majoring in Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Construction Management or related field.

A Scholarship worth up $1000 is available to any Clinton County High School Senior who is attending a two or four year accredited program related to the field of Animal Science. Donald DeVirgeles Memorial Scholarships

Eligibility: Applicant does NOT have to be a member of Adirondack Regional FCU to apply.

Must be a High School Senior accepted to a two or four year college. Must have a GPA of at least 2.7. Please include Transcript and Financial Aid Package as well as an Essay responding to the following:

Dannemora Fire Department Scholarship

Two $250 will be awarded through the Dannemora Fire Department. Applicants must live in the Dannemora Fire Protection Area. They must be continuing their education at a 2 or 4 year college. Applicants Do Not have to be a relative of a Firefighter. Must have grades of 75 or better average for each year of High School and have attendance of less than 10 absences each year for all four years of High School.

Packets are available in the Guidance Office and must be turned in no later than Friday April 29th.

Dr. Karl and Ruth Kramer Northeastern Zone New York State Retired Teachers Association Scholarship
A $500 scholarship is available one in Clinton County and one in Essex County. Student must be accepted to a post secondary institution and be pursuing a career in the field of education. Students with demonstrated financial need and high school average of B or higher will be given preference.  Applications are available in the guidance office and are due no later than May 3, 2022.

Jane Boswell Memorial Scholarship
Two $500 scholarship awarded to any graduating senior who intends to major in a program leading to teaching certification. Applications are due to the guidance office no later than May 3, 2022, applications received after May 10,2022 will not be reviewed. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

Bruce L. Crary Foundation Scholarship
Applicants must reside in Clinton, Franklin, Hamilton or Warren County. Applicants must be income- qualified and in need of financial assistance, annual adjusted gross income can not exceed $80,000. Children of school administrators are not eligible. Applications are to be submitted online at:

Warren and Daniel Hamilton Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

The Plattsburgh United Methodist Church is the administrator of this Scholarship. You Do Not need to be a church member to apply.

Eligibility: Available to any graduating senior planning on continuing their education at any 2,4,vocaional, or postgraduate school. The applicant must also be a current resident of Clinton County. The Scholarship will be awarded to students based on Financial need.

Along with the application the student must also provide a copy of their acceptance letter, 2 letters of reference, proof of financial need (i.e. letter from the Financial Aid Office), an Essay (no more than 250 words) describing how this scholarship grant will affect your education and impact the community in a positive way, and a copy of their Transcript.

The Sarah Lawrence Memorial Scholarship
The Sarah Lawrence Memorial Scholarship was created in 2016 to honor the memory of Sarah and her commitment to improving the lives of children and her adopted community of Ellenburg, NY. Sarah was active on the Northern Adirondack Central School Board, in the NACS PTO, and was a tireless advocate for children.

In memory of Sarah, a scholarship of $250 will be awarded annually to a Northern Adirondack Central School graduating senior who meets the following criteria:

Involved in community service, either independently or as part of a school organization. Graduating GPA of 3.0 or higher. Accepted to a college or university with intention to major in a human services field, including but not limited to, social work, education, or health care.

Money will be awarded in a single payment following verified completion of the first semester of college/university with a 3.0 average or greater and proof of enrollment for the second semester.

Application are available in the High School Guidance Office and are due to the Guidance Office by May 15th, 2022.

The Woodmen Life Scholarship

Eligibility: Must have graduated from High School and not received a scholarship from Chazy Chapter 462 before. Must be used for educational purposes in college, business nursing, or trade school. Proof of Enrollment is required. All applicants must be a current member of Chazy Chapter 462, Woodmen Life. Applicants must include a current transcript.

Court Little Rose #1300 Scholarship
Any graduating senior who is a child or a grandchild of a Court Little Rose #1300 member who is in good standing. The student should be planning on attending a recognized 1, 2, 3, 4 program. Student have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA following the first semester of college

Applications are available in the Guidance Office or on Google Classroom Scholarship page and must be returned to the Guidance Office no later than  May 27, 2022.

The Area Protestant Christian Churches Scholarship
Any graduating senior who is active in his/her church and youth activities. Student must be of high moral character in school, church and community and be an abstainer from the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs. Student must be worthy and needy.

Applications are available in the guidance office or in the Google Classroom Scholarship Folder and are due to the Guidance Office no later than May 27, 2022.

The Viola Baxter Scholarship
Any graduating senior who is active in his/her church and youth activities. Student may be considering a career in the field of education. Student must be worthy and needy.

Our Lady of the Snow #1548 Catholic Daughter Scholarship

Available to any Graduating Senior who is the child of Our Lady of the Snow #1548. If none apply it will be opened to any senior who is a member of St. Bernards or St. Michaels parishes.

Applications are available in the Guidance Office as well as the Google Classroom Scholarship page. Applications are due back to the Guidance Office no later than May 29, 2022.

Nicole Baker Memorial Scholarship

Available to any Graduating Senior who will be pursuing further education at a State University College or University (SUNY)

Applications available in the Guidance Officer or on Google Classroom Scholarship page. Due back to the Guidance Office no later than June 3, 2022.

Business Club Scholarship
Any graduating senior who is an active member of the Business Club at Northern Adirondack Central School. 

Applications are available in the Guidance office and or in Google Classroom Scholarship page and due no later than June 1, 2022.

Brian G Landue Scholarship

Amount: $500

Eligibility: This Scholarship is open to all dependent students who are planning to continue their education at either a college or vocational school and whose parents are either a member of NHLA or their parent's place of employment is a member.

Plattsburgh Kiwanis Breakfast Club Scholarship

Amount: $500

Eligibility: This Scholarship is open to all dependent students who are planning to continue their education at either a college or vocational school. Applicants must complete the application along with the following: Evidence of enrollment or letter of acceptance in a post-secondary program, 3 character references, including at least one that documents community service, and 10 hours of documented community service occurring from January 1st 2021 through June 1st 2022.
