Northern Adirondack Central School District has received a violation notice in regards to our water supply as a result of a missed sample monitoring deadline for Principal Organic Chemicals and Primary Inorganic Chemicals.  NAC is required to monitor our drinking water for Principal Organic Chemicals and Primary Inorganic Chemicals on a regular basis.  Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards.  The water is tested regularly for many things, however during 2023 we did not complete all monitoring for Principal Organic Chemicals and Primary Inorganic Chemicals and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.  NAC has never had an issue with Principal Organic Chemicals and Primary Inorganic Chemicals in the past as a result of our extensive water treatment facility and regular monitoring.  The test has been scheduled to be performed for the Principal Organic Chemicals and Primary Inorganic Chemicals monitoring, and we should have our results within a week or two.
