Post dated checks or checks with an incorrect amount will be returned to the taxpayer for correction. Only U.S. postmark determines the date of payment.  Only U.S. funds accepted.  Post-dated checks cannot be accepted.

Full payment - Pay to the School Tax Collector:

September 1-30, 2023

No Penalty

October 1 - October 31. 2023

2% Penalty

Full payment - Pay to County Treasurer:

November 1-30, 2023

2% & 5% penalty

On December 1, 2023  taxes are re-levied with the Town and County Tax and are payable on January 1, 2024 to the Town Tax Collector.

Installment Payment
First installment is payable to the School Tax Collector.  U.S. Postmark no later than September 30, 2023.  Failure to make this payment on time disqualifies the Taxpayer from the Installment Payment System.

The First Installment includes a 2% surcharge calculated on the total amount of the tax bill.  The surcharge is County Revenue and is to be used to pay all costs for Administration of the Installment Payment System.

Second and Third Installments are due on October 31, 2023 and November 30, 2023 to:

On December 1, 2023 any balance due will be re-levied with the Town and County Tax and will be payable on January 1, 2024 to the Town Tax Collector.
