8TH GRADE MOVING UP CELEBRATION: Attention parents of 8th grade students, the 8th grade moving up celebration will be held in the Norman V. Kavanaugh auditorium on Tuesday June 13th at 6pm. If your child has met the requirements to participate in this event you should be recieving an invitation by mail this coming week.

Attention 8th grade parents: The deadline for 8th grade Science test refusal letters will be Tuesday, May 16th at 10:00am. If you are refusing to have your child take this exam, a refusal letter, signed by the parent, must be brought to the Middle School main office no later than 10am on Tuesday , May 16th. Due to the work to properly prepare for these exams, refusal letters after this date or those sent by email or phoned in, will not be honored. Please remember, a refusal letter for ELA dor Math does not cover Science.

Attention 8th grade families, We are looking for pictures of your 8th grader for our slide show presented at the 8th grade move-up ceremony. The pictures can be of your child alone or with 8th grade classmates. The deadline to send in slideshow photos is May 12th. Please email them to Mrs. Shantell Manor at smanor@nacs1.org.

Good evening middle school families: Tomorrow in home room, your child will be given a "Learn to swim" form to bring home. It is always helpful if your child can get a good nights sleep before these exams. Please remember these exams are not timed, nor do they count for or against your child's average. These exams are merely a tool to assess where our students, as a whole, compare to their cohorts across the state. If you are refusing to have your child take this exam, a refusal letter, signed by the parent, must be brought to the Middle School main office no later than 10am on Friday April 28th. Due to the work to properly prepare for these exams, refusal letters after this date or those sent by email or phoned in, will not be honored. NACS Key Club is supporting the Autism Alliance of Northeastern NY's Walk this year and we have shirts designed by one of our very own NACS students! Thank you to all who came out to take part in the Builders' Club and Key Club Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and for the generous bottle donations. Each age group cleared their eggs in less than two minutes!

Don't forget to come out to the Easter Egg Hunt and Bottle Drive sponsored by Builders Club and Key Club this Saturday, April 1st! Builders Club members stuffed over 1300 eggs! Toddlers/preschooler line up by the tennis courts at 11 am; grades K, 1, 2 will line up at the Head Start building (left side of cones) at 11:15 am; and grades 3, 4, 5 will line up by the Head Start building (right side of cones) for their Egg Hunt at 11:30 am. The bottle drive will be by the MS/HS from 10am-12:30 pm.
