If your child needs a physical, the school doctor will be in the HS nurses office on August 17th from 9am to 1pm. ImPACT concussion testing for athletes will take place on the first day of practices. Varsity and JV start on August 22nd and Modified starts on August 29th. Coaches will be reaching out with practice times once they have a signup list.

Attention Parents of Student Athletes: Our on-line fall sports sign up page is now live. There may still be some bugs that we need to work out as we proceed with this process, so please be patient. To sign up, either click the following link: https://northernadirondackcs-ar.rschooltoday.com/ OR go to the middle school or high school website, choose "Student" on the menu, then "Athletics" and finally "Register for Sports". On the registration page please click on the NAC icon located in the center. Then click on "New User" and create a new account. You will need your child's lunch number for this process. Once in the forms, everything should be self directed. Attention Parents of Student Athletes: We are dealing with syncing all of our student information with the new program now. This should happen hopefully by the end of next week so that we can go live with our online sports sign ups. Please stay tuned and thanks for your patience with this process.

Attention Parents of Student Athletes: Our new online sports sign up system is scheduled for a test run on this Friday. If everything works correctly we plan to go live with on-line fall sports sign ups this coming Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned for the announcement that our on-line sports sign up is ready.

Attention parents of student athletes in grades 7-12: Fall sports sign-ups will be online this year. We are putting the finishing touches on our new system and plan to roll it out in the next week or two. Be on the lookout for a posting on our website and Facebook page along with a robo-text when the system goes live.

Attention Baseball fans: For the next 3 days, there will be some exciting baseball being played at the Lyon Mountain Citizens Ballpark. The Saranac Lake Surge vs Japan Islanders on Friday - Sunday afternoon. Friday is a double header at 2pm and 4pm while the single games on Saturday and Sunday will be at 4pm. You heard this correctly, there will be an all Japanese team in Lyon Mountain to play baseball ⚾⚾ If you love baseball, this is a great opportunity to see a historic event in a great ballpark. Entry fee is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 6-16 and veterans.

Attention 8th Grade parents: Calvin Castine from Home Town Cable was at our 8th grade moving up ceremony and was approached about DVD's. He has agreed to make DVD copies for anyone interested at the price of $10 each. If you are interested please email Calvin at hometowncable@yahoo.com and give him your information. After you order your DVD, You can pick up your DVD and pay for it in the HS office when it is ready. DVDs are still just $10 each.

MS/HS Yearbooks have finally arrived. Most were handed out this afternoon. If you pre-ordered one and you did not get it they will be available throughout the week. Extras are still available at $45 each. Please stop into the main office. Checks can be made payable to NACS Yearbook.

Attention parents of students attending Friday's Semi-formal dance: Only students in grades 6-12 are allowed and any guests from another school must bring our guest form signed by their schools principal. Students will not be allowed in without the signed form and the deadline has passed to obtain a form for a guest.

Reminder: The athletic banquet will be this afternoon at 3pm in the Norman V. Kavanaugh auditorium.

NACS yearbooks for middle/high school will be in this week. Extras are available and can be purchased at www.jostens.com.

REMINDER: Chromebooks will be collected tomorrow, June 7 for students in 8th-12th grade. Please remind your child to bring in his/her Chromebook, charger and case. They will be called down throughout the day to turn them in to the library.

Attention 8th Grade parents: The date for our 8th grade moving up ceremony is Tuesday, June 14th at 6pm. Students that will be able to attend this ceremony will receive an invitation by the end of next week.

Attention parents: Academic awards night along with the sports banquet will be held next week. Students that are invited should be receiving their invitations this week in homeroom. Academic awards night will be Tuesday, June 7th at 6pm in the Norman V. Kavanaugh auditorium and the Athletic banquet will be Wednesday, June 8th at 3pm in the Norman V. Kavanaugh auditorium.

Attention ALL MS/HS Parents: The 35 week progress reports for the MS/HS have been mailed. If you don't receive your child's progress report in the mail please contact the MS/HS main office at 518-594-3962.

Attention 7th and 8th Grade: Starting on Wednesday June 1st, Middle School students will no longer be able to use their cellphones during their lunch period, due to inappropriate use. Students violating this, will face disciplinary action. If you need to contact your child during the school day, please call the main office at 518-594-3962.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we wish to thank all those who served and protected our country. If you attended NACS, Altona Central, Ellenburg Central, or Lyon Mountain Central and served in the military, NACS Key Club wants to honor you! Attention 8th grade parents: The 8th grade moving up celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 6pm in the Norman V. Kavanaugh auditorium. More details to follow.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF STUDENTS IN GRADE 8: We will be administering the NY state 8th grade science exam on May 24th, 25th (lab portion) and June 6th for the practical portion. In order to start our exams in a timely fashion we will be requiring any "REFUSAL TO TEST" notes from parents to be turned into the main office, No later than 10am on Friday May 20th. Please do not call or email these requests, as they will not be honored. If the note, (which needs to be signed by parents), is not turned into the office by this time, then the "refusal to test" request will not be honored. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

Attention 8th grade families, We are looking for pictures of your 8th grader for our slide show presented at the 8th grade move-up ceremony.
