Good morning again Northern Adirondack families and staff. After consulting with the highway supervisors throughout our district, NAC will be closed today, Thursday, January 5th. If you must venture out, we are being told that the roads have been getting better related to ice, however there are many trees down or leaning into the roads preventing safe travel for our buses all over our district. Good afternoon NAC Families and Staff! Due to the expected potential for freezing rain this evening, we are cancelling all extracurricular activities on campus after 4:30 tonight. The 4:30 buses will run as normal. This evening's wrestling match will be rescheduled for tomorrow evening. This afternoon's bowling match at North Bowl in Plattsburgh is still on for today.

Good morning NAC families and staff. Yesterday morning, Sunday, January 1, 2023, the administrative team was alerted to a potential threat that was discovered and shared via social media. The administrative team then alerted and worked with the New York State Police who visited the source and determined that it was a non-credible threat. There will be additional police presence on campus when we return tomorrow. Our administrative team and the State Police are appreciative of those who saw something and said something, because that is what will help keep us all safe.

Bobby Bobcat's Holiday Sing-Along returns to NAC Elementary! After a few years' break, students and staff ended the day before vacation with good old-fashioned sing-along. It's great to be able to foster community with fun all-school activities like this. "We WISH you a Merry ChristMAS... and a Happppeeee New Yearrrrrr!"

Builders Club and Key Club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the school wide food drive. We did it! We beat our goal and collected 538 pounds of food! 15 boxes of food will be distributed to the food shelves that serve those in our school district.

Good morning NAC families and staff, I want to apologize for the early morning call but I wanted to get this information out as quickly as I could. Today Bus 84's AM run will be a 2nd run going back out after kids are delivered to school. Expect a delay of about an hour. Also bus 2 and 78 will combine this morning and afternoon so expect about 10 minute earlier start. Bus 84 and 88 will also be delayed in going out this afternoon, expect a 30-45 minute delay. If you can pickup your students it would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you for your understanding.

NAC Key Club, National Honor Society, and Rouses-Point Champlain Kiwanis braved the weather on Saturday, December 17 to volunteer at the Make-a-Wish booth at the mall. Thank you to all who came out to see us and support this organization, which grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses in the 518 area code.

Good afternoon NAC families and staff, This afternoon Bus #2 and bus 78's students will ride the same bus, allow for delays in delivery. Also bus 87 and 89 will be held back until first available driver returns, please allow 30-45 minutes delay for delivery of these students. If you are able to pick up your students it will be helpful and will speed this process up. Sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding.

Good evening NAC families, the upcoming special vote is only two days away on December 14th in the District Office Conference Room from 12 noon until 8pm. This historic vote could provide the district with the opportunity to purchase the Knight's of Columbus property adjacent to the Elementary school, which includes the parking lot that has been used for many years. This is probably the district's one chance at purchasing this property, as it is obvious that there might be another interested party. The Winter concert is also Wednesday, December 14th at 6pm in the Middle / High School Auditorium. When you come to vote and/or the concert, please support the non-perishable food drive or the toy drive that will have bins in both locations.
