Look at these amazing gardeners! NAC Elementary students took home baby squash plants in June and grew them all summer! Well done, families, for planting, cultivating, harvesting, and in some cases... eating! We love to see smiling faces show off their experiential learning at home.

Elementary Families,
All elementary students will be sent home with 2 COVID test kits this week. Please be on the lookout for these tests in your students' bookbag.

Golden Rule Week 2022

At the end of the school year, NAC Elementary students were offered squash plants to take home. One NAC family made it a summer project, observing and discussing how bees pollinate the flowers, and when they were full-grown, tasting the scallop squash. The student (pictured) was so intrigued with watching his squash grow! We love how involved our Bobcat families are with experiential learning -- both inside the classroom and at home! If you have photos or stories of your family's squash-growing projects this summer, we'd love to have them!

Thanks to a generous donation by Stewart's Shops, NAC Elementary enjoyed delicious ice cream sundaes to celebrate the last week of school! Thanks also to student and staff volunteers for scooping up the sweet treat!

Summer STEM! What could be better than dropping in to the Elementary STEM lab this summer?!

Kick off the summer with a free show by Pipsqueak the Clown at NAC Elementary! Everyone is invited to join the fun with Pipsqueak on Thursday, July 7 at 11am in the big gym.

Stop in to see Mrs. Smallman at the Elementary Library this summer! Put Wednesday mornings on your calendar 8:00-11:00am July 6 - August 3.

Thanks to a generous donation from Casella Organics, NAC Elementary was able to add a Flashforge 3D Printer to our STEM program this year. Using student Chromebooks and 3D design software, the fifth graders created and printed keyrings. It was an exciting learning opportunity for students to learn about and use this rapidly advancing technology.

On this Memorial Day weekend, we wish to thank all those who served and protected our country. If you attended NACS, Altona Central, Ellenburg Central, or Lyon Mountain Central and served in the military, NACS Key Club wants to honor you! The Wall of Honor, which graces the front wall of the Middle/High School, pays tribute to alumni from these schools who served in the military. Please click on the link to fill out a Form with information about you or your loved one to be included on the NACS Wall of Honor. Thank you for your service to our country!

A Day in a Pioneer's Life

Happy Teacher and Staff appreciation week! Thank you to the PTO, who brought goodies in to make our lives brighter and express their appreciation for the hard work of the faculty and staff.
The PTO is looking for new members to help make things like this possible for our school community. Come to the next meeting at 6pm on June 6 and lend a hand! (Meeting is in Elementary teacher work room with the mailboxes; enter through the District Office doors)

Look at us grow! This spring, we've been watching the progress of our plants in the grow carts in the Elementary lobby... and today students harvested lettuce for lunch! Thank you, Mrs. Filion, for encouraging our love of green things with this year's plant project!

The month-long NAC Elementary Bobcat March Madness Book Tournament wrapped up today with "The Pigeon HAS to go to School!" on top! When asked about his victory, Pigeon responded "Finally!"
